HIKARU SHIDOU (Magic Knight Rayearth) - INFO POST

☣CHARACTER;
Name: Hikaru Shidou
Alias: none
Series: Magic Knight Rayearth
Canon Point: volume 6, middle of the Pillar Test
Age: 14
Rank: 37
Weapon:
Hikaru's got a two-handed broadsword, similar in weight and size as her sword in Cephiro but without the nice convenient storage aspect. It requires her actually you know getting in close for melee attacks. Like any sword, really. No big deal. Except the whole 'it can burst into flames' part, for added attack power. Sadly, the flames of the sword will deplete her energy, so the longer she has the flames going, the more exhausted she'll get. No current updates available for this weapon.
Personality:
Hikaru Shidou may come across as childish and naive, and by all means, she is in some instances. But underneath that, she can be incredibly mature, especially with the needs of the heart. She wants to believe in the best of people, always certain that there is something good inside everyone, no matter how bad they may seem. She can be easily embarrassed and won't always get all the jokes or implications of something until it's spelled out for her. This could sometimes lead to her not fully understanding why two people are arguing or fighting.
Optimistic, easy going, and hard to bring down, Hikaru truly is a happy girl. However, after the events in the first half of the series, Hikaru feels a deep seeded sadness; regret because she didn't know why she was fighting the battle in Cephiro in the end. She's unsure of why Zagato insisted on that fight in the first place, and why Princess Emeraude wasn't allowed to fall in love. With this in mind, she won't rush head-on into any battle without getting all the information she can from the other side first. This means if there is someone causing trouble, she will try her best to get to know them and their reasons first before ever drawing a sword. She feels this way because she does not want to ever regret her actions again.
Hikaru firmly believes that fighting together for a common goal is better than rushing off alone, but in this, she can sometimes be a hypocrite and try to do things on her own, not wanting others to be worried for her when she doesn't think there's a reason to be. She won't hesitate to ask for help if she feels she needs it. She worries for her friends and would risk near death to help protect them if she can (which she has come very close to dying in several canon instances). But Hikaru is known by her friends for trying to take the world upon her shoulders and do everything by herself so her friends won't have to suffer from it.
